Walter Mayo

Walt has focused his business career on working with small and medium growth businesses in the US and internationally, most recently as the CEO of a fast-growth technology company. He previously worked for Endeavor, a non-profit focused on investing in and supporting innovative businesses ready to scale-up. Prior to that he spent more than 10 years with Dell as a leader in their small and medium business customer segment. 

 

Walt served with Michael in the US diplomatic corps in his first career and shares his belief in the promise of America.

Michael Brownrigg

Michael Brownrigg has spent over 18 years investing in or arranging financing for small and medium growth companies around the world, chiefly in technology and consumer facing enterprises. At ChinaVest, he helped raise and manage its two flagship $100 mm funds, working closely with ChinaVest's blue chip US investor base.

 

His commitment to public service began in the US diplomatic corps, many years ago. Today he serves (part time) as one of five elected Council members for the City of Burlingame, California. He is presently Mayor.

With 30 years of executive leadership experience in ESOP companies, this individual has deployed multiple tools of high-involvement culture to drive superior corporate performance and enhance employee-owner well-being. He has run operations for market leaders in the medical device, aerospace, automotive, and electronics components industries, each of which sustained revenue, margin, and share value growth rates well over 10%.

 

Prior to joining the private sector this individual worked at the National Commission on Employee Ownership, a non-profit dedicated to promoting employee ownership nationwide. There he researched and published the definitive causal relationships between employee ownership/involvement and improved corporate performance.
